God invites King Ahaz to ask for a sign to bolster his faith amidst impending danger, in effect offering him a blank check. However, Ahaz feigns piety by refusing, ultimately opting for his strategies over divine guidance and provision, leading to his downfall. Praise God for leaving us with a sign for His future provision that will come through Immanuel, for any who would put their trust in Him.
