Some people are fascinated with what Jesus may have looked like, but the critical question is, “Who is Jesus?” Through the incarnation God would perform history’s greatest rescue. He takes us from gloom to glory, from darkness to light, from bondage to free, not through military strength but a babe to be born, a son given. He can rescue us for He is the Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. Christianity is not about what you do, but Who you know; it is not about your performance but His power to save.
