Acts 1:1-11

Everyone starts somewhere. It’s easy to admire what others have become and forget where they began, or the work it took to get there. We do the same with the church. We look at Christianity’s global influence and forget its fragile, uncertain beginnings. The resurrection of Jesus changed everything; yet so much looked unchanged. Rome still ruled. Religious leaders were still hostile. Paganism still dominated the Gentile world. It is amazing what God can do with small beginnings when you begin in faith, listen to His lead, trust His timing, and start. Everyone starts somewhere; the key is not to stay there.
