Jesus’ question to Peter, “Do you love me more than these?” invites us to examine where our ultimate affection lies. If your love for Jesus is not greater than what He calls you to leave behind, and preeminent over your love for others around you, if it is not rooted in humility and the realization of what Jesus has first done for you, you will struggle to answer the most basic call, “You follow Me.”
