At times details that may seem small or insignificant may be more important than first realized, as they say, “the devil is in the details.” Or should it be, “God is in the details?” The Gospel writers provide us with a variety of details that we might overlook or deem insignificant but serve a purpose in highlighting the sovereignty of God in fulfilling His plans and purposes for our redemption through the death and resurrection of Jesus.
