Matthew 27:45-56

People are enraptured with the rapture, longing to be caught up rather than passed over. But perhaps our greater wonder should be this: Jesus chose not to save Himself so He could save you. He was abandoned so you could be accepted, forsaken so you could be forgiven, He thirsted so your deepest needs could be satisfied. On the cross He paid in full the debt of sin, finishing the work the Father gave Him. Yet while salvation is offered freely, it is not received automatically. A gift becomes yours only when you accept it. He chose you, have you chosen Him?
