The hour had come for Jesus to fulfill His mission. He prayed to the Father not selfishly, but that the Father would glorify Him so that He might glorify the Father by completing the work He was sent to do. This was the moment for Him to return to the glory He had before, and to intercede for His disciples so they might succeed in fulfilling their callings.
