The early church had survived persecution and now found itself at a pivotal point: dissension from within threatening the heart of the gospel. Pivotal points determine direction and can drive momentum or derail it. By appealing to both precedent and prophecy, what God had done and what God had said, the church finds clarity, unity, and a path forward.
